<h3>Job Title: Supervisor (Piping)</h3>
<h3>Job Summary and Purpose:</h3>
The Piping Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all piping activities on board vessels or at worksites to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery. Acting as a technical and production expert, the role oversees on-ground implementation, manages teams, and ensures adherence to quality, safety, and productivity standards.
<h3>Key Accountabilities:</h3>
<ol>
<li>
Work Planning &amp; Coordination: Develop daily and weekly action plans to organize and complete piping tasks efficiently within the set timeframe and milestones.
</li>
<li>
Equipment &amp; Resource Management: Ensure all piping equipment, tools, and machinery are properly maintained, calibrated, and available for work crews.
</li>
<li>
Project Preparation: Review client specifications, prepare detailed job scopes, manpower allocation plans, and conduct internal/external kickoff meetings.
</li>
<li>
Performance Monitoring: Track progress against plans and budgets, ensuring timely job completion and providing feedback to internal and external stakeholders.
</li>
<li>
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to reduce assembly hours and overall build costs.
</li>
<li>
Technical Review: Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and required operations for fabrication and assembly.
</li>
<li>
Safety &amp; Compliance: Foster a culture of safety and accountability by enforcing company HSE standards, preparing risk assessments and work permits, and serving as a role model for safe behavior.
</li>
<li>
Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate piping crews, ensuring effective teamwork, skill utilization, and adherence to work instructions and safety protocols.
</li>
<li>
Problem Solving: Resolve and analyze manufacturing discrepancies, collaborating closely with the Quality Assurance team.
</li>
<li>
Manpower Management: Assess workforce requirements and coordinate with the Section Manager for any additional manpower or man-hour allocations needed.
</li>
<li>
Health &amp; Wellbeing: Promote employee wellbeing by adhering to all health and safety protocols, participating in wellness initiatives, and reporting any concerns promptly.
</li>
<li>
Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks or assignments as directed by management.
</li>
</ol>
<h3>Qualifications:</h3>
<ul>
<li>
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
</li>
<li>
Certification or proven competence as a Group Leader / Senior Pipe Fitter / Senior Pipe Welder in shipyard, offshore, or onshore projects.
</li>
</ul>
<h3>Experience:</h3>
<ul>
<li>
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or team-leading role in shipyard, new build, or offshore projects.
