Job Title: Shipyard Estimator (Marine / Offshore)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Shipyard Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for ship repair and/or new building projects, with a strong focus on dry docking and offshore vessel operations. This role requires strong technical understanding, analytical skills, and hands-on experience in shipyard environments.
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Prepare detailed cost estimates for ship repair, dry docking, and new build projects</li>
<li>Review technical specifications, drawings, and client requirements to develop accurate quotations</li>
<li>Conduct material, labor, and equipment cost analysis for marine projects</li>
<li>Coordinate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to gather required inputs</li>
<li>Evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations to ensure competitiveness and accuracy</li>
<li>Identify project risks and cost optimization opportunities during estimation</li>
<li>Maintain historical cost data and improve estimation accuracy over time</li>
<li>Support tender submissions and commercial proposals</li>
<li>Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to clarify scope and technical details</li>

Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field</li>
</ul>
Experience
<ul>
<li>Minimum 4 years of experience in shipyard estimation (repair or new building)</li>
<li>Strong experience in dry docking projects is required</li>
<li>Experience with offshore vessels is highly preferred</li>
</ul>

<li>Proficiency in MS Office and estimation tools (if applicable)</li>
