About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) Industry Mentor to guide learners in building and deploying real-world technology solutions. The role involves technical mentoring, project reviews, practical problem-solving, and interview preparation.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in software engineering, customer-facing technical implementations, system integration, and working with cross-functional teams.
Role &amp; Responsibilities
<ul>

Conduct live mentoring sessions on software engineering, system integration, and real-world implementation.
</li>
<li>
Guide learners in translating business requirements into technical solutions.
</li>
<li>
Review code, projects, system designs, and provide actionable feedback.
</li>
<li>
Mentor learners on APIs, databases, cloud platforms, AI/ML integrations, and deployment.
</li>
<li>
Help learners with debugging, testing, troubleshooting, and production-readiness.
</li>
<li>
Conduct technical assessments, mock interviews, and project reviews.
</li>
<li>
Share industry best practices around system design, scalability, security, and deployment.
</li>
<li>
Collaborate with curriculum teams to improve practical projects and learning experiences.
</li>
<li>
Track learner progress and help resolve technical blockers.
</li>
</ul>
Skills &amp; Qualifications Must-Have
<ul>
<li>
Experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Software Engineer, Full Stack Engineer, or similar role.
</li>
<li>
Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Go, or similar languages.
</li>
<li>
Experience with APIs, databases, SQL, and software development.
</li>
<li>
Understanding of cloud platforms and deployment workflows.
</li>
<li>
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
</li>
<li>
Experience translating customer/business requirements into technical solutions.
</li>
<li>
Prior experience in mentoring, teaching, training, or technical coaching.
</li>
</ul>
Preferred
<ul>
<li>
Experience working directly with customers or stakeholders.
</li>
<li>
Familiarity with AI/ML, LLMs, or Generative AI.
</li>
<li>
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS, GCP, or Azure.

<li>
Knowledge of system design, microservices, and distributed systems.
</li>
<li>
Experience conducting technical interviews or reviewing engineering projects.
