<div>We have four manager roles for winter 25/26, offering diverse opportunities reflecting your experience. You will have a hands-on approach to managing, motivating, and working alongside a team of chalet hosts and chefs, and must have previous relevant experience, having completed at least two ski seasons.</div><div><br></div><ul><li><strong>Avoriaz:</strong> 5 individual catered chalets with a team of 9.</li><li><strong>Val d’Isere:</strong> 4 chalets in one building with a team of 7.</li><li><strong>Les Gets:</strong> One large Club Chalet with a team of 6.</li><li><strong>Courchevel:</strong> One large chalet with a team of 3.</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Reporting to:</strong> Overseas Manager</div><div><br></div><div><strong>General Overview</strong></div><div>The role of the Chalet Resort Manager is to oversee and be actively involved in the smooth running of all day-to-day operations; ensuring food quality, cleanliness, and service are delivered to the highest standards and all paperwork completed accurately and punctually. You will need to be a strong motivator and team leader. The Chalet Resort Manager is also the first port of call for both staff and guests, with regular guest contact. The perfect candidate for this job must have relevant ski season experience, be used to managing a team, and be able to converse in French. Responsible for delivering holidays as sold and being core to delivering very happy ski holidays where guests return year after year.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>What makes each resort different?</strong></div><ul><li><strong>Avoriaz:</strong> Living in a shared apartment, managing 5 separate chalets. You will visit all chalets daily, eat some meals with guests, and liaise with the snow-cat company in this car-free environment.</li><li><strong>Val d’Isere:</strong> You will have your own room within the chalet complex, managing a team of 6. The four chalets are in a ski in/out building, making it easy to move between them. This is a hands-on role, actively involved in looking after guests daily.</li><li><strong>Les Gets:</strong> Living in with your own room, with a team of 5 who live out. This large chalet with up to 42 guest beds has a professional chef and distinct roles for cleaning and serving meals. You will welcome guests and lead the welcome speeches.</li><li><strong>Courchevel:</strong> Living in the chalet in your own room with a team of 2 who also live in. This large chalet with up to 22 guests has a professional chef, and you will be actively involved in running the chalet, cleaning, and serving guests in addition to leading welcome meetings. This is a Supervisor/HK job.</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Skills and Attributes:</strong></div><div><br></div><ul><li>Positive, likeable person who is at ease with all guests and has a “can do” attitude.</li><li>Strong leader who brings out the best in their team and leads by example, hands-on.</li><li>At least two previous seasons' experience running all aspects of a chalet.</li><li>Experience of leading teams and managing people.</li><li>Mature, professional attitude at all times.</li><li>Experience in cooking and/or general catering is a must</li><li>Excellent customer service skills.</li><li>Highly numerate.</li><li>Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).</li><li>Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to prioritize quickly and rationally.</li><li>Self-motivated with a positive "can do" attitude.</li><li>Stamina to lead throughout a high-pressure winter season.</li><li>Good standard of spoken and written French, preferred.</li><li>IT literate (Word, Excel, Outlook).</li><li>Full Driver's License. (Must be over 21 due to French Insurance Restrictions).</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Principal Responsibilities:</strong></div><div><br></div><ul><li>Lead a customer-focused team, adhering to standards and exceeding customer expectations, driving high net promoter scores from guests and manage accordingly.</li><li>Be a visible point of contact for customers on holiday, responsible for their safety and well-being.</li><li>Be available to answer any escalated customer queries and help resolve any complaints as quickly and as efficiently as possible.</li><li>Train, manage, and support seasonal chalet staff, developing their skills, and providing strong leadership through regular meetings so that clear objectives are set, agreed, and reviewed.</li><li>Ensure high levels of performance, taking appropriate measures in line with company policy where staff performance does not meet agreed standards.</li><li>Build a team of staff that works harmoniously with resort operation staff and the UK team.</li><li>Monitor your team and your own hours to ensure compliance and manage and adapt team rotas.</li><li>Be ready to step in and help, retrain, or replace staff in the event of absences.</li><li>Observe, assist, and where appropriate participate in welcome meetings regularly.</li><li>Build strong working relationships with in-resort suppliers, visiting accommodation suppliers, resolving any problems which arise, and ensuring optimum cost efficiency.</li><li>Audit of accommodation to ensure that all facilities are fully functional, and that standard inventory and equipment are maintained.</li><li>Ensure that food standards and presentation meet or exceed company guidelines, including morning breakfast visits and dining with guests regularly in each chalet.</li><li>Ensure that service levels for cleanliness, hygiene, and inventory within properties are delivered throughout the season through a program of regular weekly inspections.</li><li>Ensure that maintenance issues are identified, reported, and addressed/resolved timely.</li><li>Ensure that resort information and entertainment is updated throughout the season and fed back to guests and UK and Sales marketing team..</li><li>Ensure strict compliance of properties for all health and safety and legal issues, including regular fire and safety checks.</li><li>Ensure familiarisation with all company procedures for Health and Safety.</li><li>Ensure all rented and hired property (both guest and staff accommodation) is returned at the end of the season in the state it was received in line with contractual agreements.</li><li>Coordinate all logistical requirements on airport transfer days, in line with transfer plans provided.</li><li>Coordinate and manage your resort’s linen stocks.</li><li>Act on questionnaire feedback and use to motivate staff , improving product quality of delivery and service.</li><li>Overall budgetary responsibility for chalets, ensuring turnover and profits are met and that costs are kept within budget.</li><li>Ensure submission of chalet accounts each week to the UK accounts team in strict adherence to stated deadlines.</li><li>Ensure that resort administration is processed in line with company policy.</li><li>Any other work as may be reasonably asked by the Company.</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Other information:</strong></div><div><br></div><div>All Managerial roles will be expected to cover for each other on days off, and to participate in the Company’s out of hours 'on call' rota to assist customers in resort, and to be available in case of emergency, as required.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>Benefits </strong></div><div><br></div><div>French contract with a Competitive Salary , accomodation, lift pass (or allowance) ,free ski hire, performance bonus and travel allowance.</div><div><br></div><div><em>Must be available from November to&nbsp;end of April. 2 weeks probation start of season.</em></div>
