The individual will be responsible for ensuring quality representation of employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in the defense of workers' compensation claims and will supervise a legal team that includes staff attorneys and legal assistants, while maintaining a caseload.&nbsp;</p>

<div><b>Responsibilities</b></div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Provide legal counsel to clients on various matters including personal injury, estate planning, and workers' compensation.</li>
<li>Conduct thorough research utilizing tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.</li>
<li>Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.</li>
<li>Draft legal documents including contracts, wills, and pleadings.</li>
<li>Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings.</li>
<li>Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations, particularly tribal law regulations.</li>
<li>Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the law office to ensure comprehensive client representation.</li>

<div><b>Requirements</b></div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>A current California Bar membership in good standing</li>
<li>Excellent research, communication, and organizational skills, with an ability to thrive in a dynamic environment</li>
<li>Strong Marketing and Business development experience</li>
<li>Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all levels of the organization</li>
<li>Ability to lead and motivate the team to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and achieve goals</li>
<li>Previous management and leadership experience is a plus</li>
<li>Experience with MerusCase Management a plus</li>
<li>6+ years of Workman’s Compensation Defense</li>
<li>225 + billable hours</li>
<li>1 hour twenty minutes away from San Francisco max</li>
<li>Must have experience managing other attorneys and support staff.</li>
<li>Must reside within an hour from San Francisco.</li>
