This role involves supervising storekeeping staff, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.</div><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>:</h3><ol><li><strong>Supervision of Store Operations</strong>:</li></ol><ul><li class="ql-indent-1">Oversee the daily activities of the store or warehouse, ensuring efficient operations and effective management of staff.</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Train, mentor, and evaluate storekeeping staff, providing guidance on best practices and procedures.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Inventory Management</strong>:</li></ol><ul><li class="ql-indent-1">Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Coordinate the receiving, storing, and issuing of goods, ensuring that all stock is correctly accounted for.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Quality Control</strong>:</li></ol><ul><li class="ql-indent-1">Ensure that all received items meet quality standards and specifications before acceptance into inventory.</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Implement and maintain procedures for handling damaged or expired products.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Order Fulfillment</strong>:</li></ol><ul><li class="ql-indent-1">Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping of orders to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to ensure stock levels align with customer demand.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Safety and Compliance</strong>:</li></ol><ul><li class="ql-indent-1">Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and organizational policies regarding storage and handling of materials.</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Conduct regular safety audits and ensure that staff follow safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Record Keeping</strong>:</li></ol><ul><li class="ql-indent-1">Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and shipments.</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies to management.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Facility Management</strong>:</li></ol><ul><li class="ql-indent-1">Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the storage area, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Coordinate maintenance and repair of storage equipment and systems as needed.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Problem Solving</strong>:</li></ol><ul><li class="ql-indent-1">Address and resolve any inventory discrepancies, issues with stock deliveries, or employee concerns related to store operations.</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Implement solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs in storekeeping operations.</li></ul><h3><strong>Key Qualifications</strong>:</h3><ul><li><strong>Education</strong>: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.</li><li><strong>Experience</strong>: 2 years of experience in storekeeping or warehouse management, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.</li><li><strong>Skills</strong>:</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Strong leadership and team management abilities.</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Effective communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li class="ql-indent-1">Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.</li></ul>
